Oh Father, Where Art Thou?
Firegrove is the capital of Mirza. Both the high concentration of fire magic and the proximity to an active volcano have made this a booming center of industry. The lava flows down from the south and into large canals and channels creating a natural fire source for anyone who taps into it. The city itself is built high above these channels on large marbled streets kept far away from the heat of the lava. The city is cool enough to live but is comparable to a desert heat. It’s spot on the coast invites a cold sea breeze to fight the heat. The surrounding areas are lush forests that sprouted from the rich soil birthed from the lava flow of the past. Walking through the streets in nearly any of the five districts will fill your ears with the clang and smash of industry. The city boasts the largest shipyards in the country, with up to 6 warships being built every two months, including the world’s only iron clad ships. As such Mirza remains one of the few countries of it’s size to resist the conquest of the Yerse Empire to the north-east.
